Eligibility

The ALMANAC study currently has three major cohorts: Colorectal cancer, breast cancer, and lung cancer.

Criteria

You may be able to participate in this study if you:

  • Are between 45 and 84 years old
  • Have had one of the following:
    • Have recently received positive findings during cancer screening for one of the diseases listed above
    • Have recently been diagnosed with one of the diseases listed above, but have not yet undergone surgery or other treatment

Cohort A: Colorectal Cancer

The colorectal cohort has two sub-cohorts:

Cohort A-1: Positive Non-Invasive Screening Test (NIST)
This cohort will include subjects who plan to undergo diagnostic colonoscopy or biopsy for colorectal cancer after positive findings in initial NIST.

Cohort A-2: Colorectal Cancer
This cohort will include subjects with a recent diagnosis of colorectal cancer or advanced adenoma, but prior to treatment.

Cohort B: Breast Cancer

The breast cohort has two sub-cohorts:

Cohort A-1: Positive Screening Mammography
This cohort will include subjects with BI-RADS 4 or BI-RADS 5 category lesions reported in screening mammography, with plans to undergo additional procedure or imaging.

Cohort A-2: Breast Cancer
This cohort will include subjects with a recent diagnosis of breast cancer or high-risk lesions, but prior to treatment.

Cohort C: Lung Cancer

The lung cohort has two sub-cohorts:

Cohort A-1: Positive Non-Invasive Screening Test (NIST)
This cohort will include subjects with positive or suspicious findings in screening low dose CT scan of the chest, with plans to undergo further imaging, diagnostic bronchoscopy, or tissue biopsy.

Cohort A-2: Lung Cancer
This cohort will include subjects with a recent diagnosis of lung cancer, but prior to treatment.
